Robert D. Switzer, 77, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at home. He served with the US Army Air Force during WWII. Mr. Switzer retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years. He was a member of the Elbridge Rod & Gun Club, the NRA, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 1276 and a life member of DAV. Survivors: His wife of 60 years, Violet; a daughter, Marguerite (Gabriel) Field of FL; two sons, Archie (Connie) of Cicero and Robert (Esther) Switzer of MD; two grandchildren, Eric and Alexandra Switzer; two stepgrandchildren, Christian Field and Brian Buckley; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home. Burial in White Chapel Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 7191 E.
