Orlean Allen, 75, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in her home. Orlean was born March 3, 1938 in Quicksand, KY to Samuel and Hester (Stacy) Smith and lived in the area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Souls Harbor Church in North Judson.

Survivors include four sons, William (Linda) Spencer and Robert (Teresa) Spencer, all of Knox, Ordway (Lucy) Allen of Bremen and Samuel (Charlotte) Allen of Star City; one daughter, Esther (Dan) Hamilton of North Judson; 29 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and three brothers, Edgar (Marie) Smith, Homer (Evie) Smith and Samuel (Roberta) Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Robert Allen; five sisters; two brothers; special grandson, Samuel Allen II and special nephew, Jimmy Patrohay.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. CST at Souls Harbor Church, North Judson. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery, Knox. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church and Monday one hour prior to the service. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is handling arrangements.
