Services for Lowell H. "Buzz" Thompson, 77, of 247 7th St., Silvis, are 10 a.m. today at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is in National Cemetary, Arsenal Island. There is no visitation.
Mr. Thompson died Monday, May 10, 1999, at home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Henry and Irma Kelley Thompson.
He was a life member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He was a WW II Navy veteran.
Survivors include a sister, Leeta Flynn, Davenport, two grandsons and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
