Frances LaVerne (Kilian) Albrecht was born on September 3, 1947 in Brenham, Texas to Alfred & Louise (Schulz) Kilian. She was baptized on September 21, 1947 and confirmed on March 26, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings by Rev. Max Studtmann. Her confirmation verse was Nahum 1:7, "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him". Frances graduated from Giddings High School in 1965 and was united in marriage to Alton Albrecht on May 31, 1975 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings by Rev. Emil Krugler. Frances worked for several years at the Lee County Extension Office in Giddings. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings and a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and taking care of the flowers in her yard.
Frances passed away suddenly the afternoon of Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. David's Medical Center in Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred & Louise Kilian and a sister-in-law, Frances Jackson.
Frances is survived by her husband, Alton Albrecht of Paige; her daughter and son-in-law, Amber & Kenneth Sohnrey of Paige; her granddaughter, Shayla Sohnrey of Paige; her three brothers, Raymond Kilian & his wife, Charlene of Murietta, California,Alfred Kilian & his wife, Linda of Austin and Kenneth Kilian of Giddings; her brother-inlaw, Donald Jackson of Seguin and two nieces.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 North Grimes Street, Giddings, Texas 78942 or to the charity of one's choice.
