The parentage of Margaret Lucas is unknown at this time. She might have been born to a family named Masan, between 1600 & 1610, probably in England. She married William Underwood about about 1630, in England. They came to Virginia, where William died in Lancaster County about 1640. All of Margaret’s children were probably fathered by Underwood. Margaret then married Capt. John Upton of Isle of Wright. Upton died in 1651, and she later married Capt. Thomas Lucas. Margaret died sometime after 1656.
