Mary Cleo Long was born June 8, 1916 in Osgood, Missouri, the daughter of Burton Long and Maria Augusta Todd. She came to Reno in 1947 from Montana and Colorado, and married George Chiatovich on April 20, 1975.

While in Colorado she owned and operated Decker's fishing resort, and also owned a restaurant in Pueblo. In Reno she worked as a dealer at Harold's Club and the Riverside Hotel.

She was a member of the Pioneers Club of Harold's, Honored Ladies of the Shrine, Kerak Temple, Ammon-Ra Daughters of the Nile, Rose Chapter 27 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Lutheran church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, George in 1994; and a son, Gary Wilkerson n 1970. Survivors included a son, Donald; two sisters, Phyllis Fulks and Fern Clauz; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many cousins.
