ONE-TIME BLAIR BANKER IS DEAD
News has reached Blair of the death of Alex Hitchman, one-time Blair banker who was in business here in the late 20’s. Mr. Hitchman, in company with Charles Hitchman, operated the Farmers State Bank in the building now occupied by the Ray Hansen Agency offices.
Mr. Hitchman, who was 84 years old, died in San Antonio, Texas at the home of a daughter with whom he made his home.
A son, Robert, also survives. Mrs. Ruth Hitchman, of Blair, whose husband was the late Ray Hitchman, is a sister-in-law of the deceased man.
The Hitchmans left Blair in 1930.
