Rita Ann Holt, age 59, of Newport. Passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded by her father, Powell Holt; and sister, Patricia Holt.
She is survived by her husband, David Holt; daughters, Sheila (Roy) Shults of Newport; Stephanie (Scott) Erickson of Knoxville; Amanda (Norman) Price of Newport; mother, Betty Louise Holt of Newport; stepchildren, Anthony (Amanda) Holt of Newport; Heather (Chad) Williams of Dandridge; Candice Clevenger of Dandridge; brother, Allen (Wanda) Holt of Newport; sister, Judy Thomas (Ronald Frazier) of Newport; grandchildren, Ethan and Kyle Shults, Mallory and Michael Price, Rachael, Casey, Ivan and Olivia Erickson, Adam, Aaron and Allie Holt, Jackson, Zachary and Kate Williams; Brook and Kent Clevenger, Harper Rimmer; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Samples officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
