Retired pharmacist
RAYNHAM -- Walter Myron Grasser, a retired pharmacist, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1993, in his home at 294 Carver St. after being stricken with a heart attack. He was 52.
Born in Portsmouth, N.H., he was the son of the late Myron and Gertrude (Mills) Grasser.
He graduated from Waltham High School and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
Mr. Grasser was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during that war as a hospital corpsman.
He had worked as a pharmacist at Taunton State Hospital. He also worked as a pharmacist at other locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Louisiana.
Mr. Grasser had lived in Raynham for more than 22 years.
He was a member of the King David Lodge A&F and A&M Lodge of Taunton, and was a member of the pharmaceutical fraternity Phi Delta Chi.
Mr. Grasser is survived by two sisters, Velma J. Grasser of Taunton and Vivian L. Grasser of Raynham; one uncle, one aunt; and several cousins.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
