"Service for Mrs Micah Mullins Deputy, 88, were held Wednesday in Walker's Globe Mortuary. Rev. Arthur Gunther of the Lutheran Mission of Whiteriver officiated. Mrs. Harlene Walker was the organist.
Mrs. Mullins [sic] (should be Deputy) died Tuesday in the Gila General Hospital. She resided at the Pioneer Hotel. She moved to Whiteriver in 1917, where she taught school until she retired in July 1959. A native of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, she was born September 27, 1876.
Entombment was at the Mausoleum of the Last Supper.
A niece, Mary Mullins Wicklund of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan survives. Also two other nieces and one nephew, all out of state."
Her name at time of marriage to Mr. Deputy was Mrs. Micah Butler.
