Pauline S. Breitenbach 1918 - 2005
Pauline S. Breitenbach, 86, died May 3 at the Great Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center in Great Bend.
She was born Oct. 24, 1918, at Locust Grove, Okla., the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Canada Ferrell.
She married John P. Beal on Nov. 9, 1937, at Wichita. He died May 18, 1978. She married Maloy D. Breitenbach on May 4, 1982, at Great Bend. He survives.
She was a homemaker, and a resident of Great Bend since 1946, coming from Carmi, Ill.
Mrs. Breitenbach was a member of Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Great Bend Garden Club and Central Kansas Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Maloy D. Breitenbach of the home; one daughter, Myrna J. Branstetter and husband James of Great Bend; one step-daughter, Dorinda Alearaz of Irvine, Calif.; two step-sons, Chris Breitenbach of Cheyenne Wells, Colo. and David Breitenbach of Lecompton; one brother, A.J. Ferrell and wife Betty of Great Bend; one sister, Aline Fuller of Stafford; two grandchildren, John R. Lampe and wife Lenora, and Kerry Lampe, all of Great Bend; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Lampe and Taylor Lampe; seven step-grandchildren, James Breitenbach, Cody Breitenbach, Olivia Breitenbach, Hayley Breitenbach, Bridgette Elliott, Stephen Frack and Nick Alcaraz.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Huss; four brothers, Norman Ferrell, Willie Ferrell, Phillip Ferrell and Gene Ferrell; and two sisters, Ruby Oller and Sybol Foley.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with Chuck Marshall officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Church of Christ or CKMC Foundation / Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice.
