Edmond "Ed" D. Banks, 81 passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. He was born in Glennville, August 8, 1932 to Eben E. and Ruby Bacon Banks. He was a U.S Air Force Veteran and lived in Florida for many years moving back to Glennville in 1970. He was a farmer and self employed in the Trucking and Land Clearing Business in Savannah and Richmond Hill. He was a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda Durrence Banks, sisters, Marjorie B. Durrence, and Dealva Banks, brothers, Revis Banks and Larry Banks. He is survived by, Son, Eddie Banks of Richmond Hill Daughter, Lynn Banks Kicklighter of Glennville Brother, Ned Banks of Glennville Sisters, Delores Harlow of Waycross Maridean Brewton of Glennville Linda Waters of Savannah Granddaughters, Julie & Clay Todd and Jenna Cowart Great Grandchildren, Colt Todd, McKenley Haskins and Jaxon Haskins Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Summers and Elder David Summerford officiating. Burial will be in Beards Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Eric Durrence, Greg Durrence, Art Durrence, Gary Banks, Kenny Banks, Mike Waters.
