Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Wilsons Chapel for Miss Myrtle McDonald, who died March 11th at the I. O. O. F. Home in Mason City. Rev. H. G. Dawes officiated, and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rebekah lodge memorial service was also given by Junietta Lodge of Eagle Grove.

Miss McDonald had resided in the I. O. O. F. home for the past eighteen years and preceding that was a tailor at several Eagle Grove business places.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Floyd of Eagle Grove and Mrs. H. H. Anderson of Ames, and one brother, John McDonald of California.

Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson of Ames; Mrs. W. C. Robinson, Mrs. N. O. Peterson and Mrs. R. C. Christensen of Albert Lea, Minn., Mrs. Don McVicker, Clarion, Mrs. Robert Betz, Sioux City.

Myrtle May, daughter of Abner and Addie McDonald was born on a farm near Woolstock, Iowa on December 15, 1878. She moved to Eagle Grove when she was eight years old, and lived here until she went to the I. O. O. F. home at Mason City, Iowa, 18 years ago, where she has resided until her death on March 11, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary, Mrs. H. J. Fulton of Rapid City, S. D., Lottie, Mrs. Claude McVicker of Eagle Grove, and two brothers, Will F. McDonald of Des Moines, and Charles of Clinton, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two sisters, Cora, Mrs. W. E. Floyd of Eagle Grove, and Lourine [Laurina], Mrs. H. H. Anderson of Ames, Iowa. One brother John of California, other relatives and friends.

Myrtle was a member of the Baptist Church joining at the age of 15.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 15, 1954 at Wilson Funeral Chapel, Eagle Grove, with Rev. H. G. Dawes officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa. The Rebekah services were given by Junietta Rebekah Lodge 185 of Eagle Grove, Iowa.
