Carroll Jenkins, 67, Evarts, died Jan. 30, 1997, at his home.
A Tennessee native, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Polly Jones Jenkins.]
He was a self-employed taxi operator for 30 years. He believed in the Baptist and Holiness faiths.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Cook Jenkins, Evarts; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Terry Jenkins, Randy and Paula Jenkins, all of Evarts; three brothers: Paul Jenkins, Kenvir; James Jenkins, Three Point; Dewey Jenkins, Harlan; one sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Ray Wynn, Evarts; three grandchildren: Miranda Jenkins, Faith Jenkins and Erica Jenkins, all of Evarts.
Visitation was Friday at Evarts Funeral Home and today after 4 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Dartmont Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church with reverends Lloyd Ray Burkhart, Mose Wynn Jr. and Jimmy Dean officiating.
Burial will be in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Pallbeearers will be Daniel Blevins, Simon Blevins, Denny Anglin, Robert Morgan, Richard Anglin and Lloyd Cook.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
