Josiah was the son of John Edd and Julina (Lilly) Lilly.
Josiah married Nellie Mae Myers and they lived on the Dunns Rd.
Josiah was known as "Uncle Joe". He taught school in the Flat Top, West Virginia area and led the singing at the Lilly Reunions at Flat Top for a number of years, and also at the Dunns Church.
He and Nellie were the parents of eight children:
