Audrey Lee Eaves, 76, a long-time resident of Dallas City, Ill., died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her home.
Born July 10, 1925, in Macomb, Ill., she was the daughter of Harold and Fern Blackledge Wilson. She married Oscar "Pat" Eaves Jan. 28, 1943, in Kahoka, Mo.
Mrs. Eaves was raised in the Blandinsville and Macomb area. She enjoyed bingo, sewing, crocheting, flowers, reading, musicals and her pet dog.
During World War II, she worked in Peoria, Ill., soldering radios for ships. She then worked at the Montgomery Ward store in Macomb. Later she worked briefly at Brown's Grocery and the pizza factory, both in Dallas City.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Cindy Eaves of Dallas City; one son, Victor Eaves of Fort Madison; four grandsons; two great-grandsons; one stepgreat-granddaughter; three aunts; one uncle; one niece; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, one sister and one brother.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday and until 11 a.m. Monday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City.
The funeral for Mrs. Eaves will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Van Gundy officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City.
A memorial has been established for the Blessing Hospice of Hancock County, Ill.
