Fred Ray Hurst, age 81, of Dandridge, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Martha Hurst; son, Mark Hurst; daughter, Francis M. Hurst; brothers, Josh and George Hurst; and sister, Zelma Lane.
He is survived by his wife, Francis Hurst; son, Fred Hurst Jr. and his wife Shawney; daughters, Janice Mayes; Betty Click and husband Eugene; and Gail Woods; and his sister, Mary Lane. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sampson and Shannon Mayes, Becky and Travis Bohannon, Michael Click, Eric and Lisa Click, Jennifer and Bradley Reece, Henry and Tara Wynn, Crystal Woods and Tim Baker; great-grandchildren, Kattie Terris, Chase and Hope Bohannon, Kendryck Sprouse, Jackson Gilbert, Machi Goins, Khloe Click and Isaiah Reece; also several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert Ball and Rev. Fred Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Swannsylvania Cemetery.
