Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Ladd, 89, of Macon, N.C., formerly of Colonial Beach, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. Betty is the widow of Edward W. Ladd, a member of Colonial Beach United Methodist Church, the D.A.R. and the Lions Club. Survivors include a daughter, Doris Durocher of Macon; three sons, Edward Ladd Jr. of Fla., Lanny Ladd and William Wingo, both of Colonial Beach; twenty grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sat. Feb. 1 at Colonial Beach United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park, King George. Food and fellowship will be provided at 1:30 p.m. in the church social hall. Memorials can be made to the Moore County Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, N.C.; 28374 or Colonial Beach United Methodist Church, Box 189, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
