Don peacefully passed away at his home at the age of 67. Born in Raymond, he spent his childhood in Oregon and later attended Olympia High School. Upon graduating, he joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. He then spent the last 40 plus years in the financial industry. His hobbies included genealogy, Civil War history, and classic cars. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, of 23 years; children Jeff, Jason (Charro), Jon Vatne, Tammy Rawlins, Mandy (Rich) Colburn, Sally (Brandon) Wallace, William (Nicole) Wallace; brother Gary (Marcia) Vatne; grandchildren and a great-grand child. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Melvin and Anna (Post) Vatne.
