Michael Lee Bowman passed away Thursday morning September 23, 2010, at Town and Country Manor in Boerne. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Boerne Cemetery.

Mike was born July 1, 1950, at Wichita General Hospital in Wichita Falls. The family lived in Killeen until 1960 when they moved to San Antonio. Mike attended public school and Churchill High School in San Antonio. In the early 1970's, Mike began working as a crane operator on various projects in the South Texas area. He then moved to the Corpus Christi area to work at Ingleside in the marine offshore fabrication yard. He operated the largest Mantowok friction crane in use at the time. He participated in building the jacket for 'Bullwinkle'/Shell Oil Co., the world's largest offshore drilling platform at that time. He also performed heavy lifts on gas turbines throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Utah. In 2004, he moved to the family farm at Bergheim to care for his Mom. Mike's hobbies included growing varieties of cactus, nature photography, and the study of religious philosophy.

Mike was preceded in death by his father Billy Bowman, mother Rubinelle Bowman, and brother Casey Bowman. He is survived by: his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Janet Bowman; nieces Meredith and Ashley Bowman, Amy, Jessica, and Michelle Pagel, and Lydia Bezner; nephew Zach Bowman; and grandnieces Kylie and Kaelyn Bowman.
