Clara Marie Meskauskas Jun. 25, 1957 - Jan. 21, 2014 Resident of Crockett Clara Meskauskas, age 56, of Crockett, CA, died on January 21, 2014, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband Danny of 34 years, children Cindy (Chris) Pederson and John (Jennifer) Meskauskas, and four grandchildren Blake, Peyton, Hank and Nolan. Also survived by biological parents Barbara and Bruce Garland and brother Mike Larson. Clara was preceded in death by adoptive parents Audie and Opal Kays and daughter Christina Mueller. She leaves behind numerous loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Clara was employed by Chevron's Richmond Refinery, where she worked for 22 years. Clara has also volunteered for many organizations. Whether she was serving at the Richmond Rescue Mission, making blankets for little angels, or making Rosaries and sending them overseas, Clara put her whole heart and soul into her ministry. Clara was an incredibly talented quilter. All of her quilts were truly a gift of love and art. Clara's altruism and her artistic talents came together beautifully in the 2013 Chevron AIDS quilt. This beautiful lady will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at Holy Angels Chapel at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 2540 Church Lane, San Pablo, between 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, February 3. Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 555 Third Avenue, Crockett, CA on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, with reception to follow. Donations in her name may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crockett, CA.
