Stan Osborn served in the Pacific in WWII as a radio operator in the Army. He was with General MacArthur on his return to Luzon in the Philippines. He was involved in the preparation for the invasion of Japan when the bomb was dropped and the war ended.
His wife Walt worked as an electrician in aircraft manufacturing during the war. She always hinted that she worked on the aircraft that was instrumental in bringing her husband home. The story has since become family lore.
Stan and Walt took care of numerous nieces and nephews over the years and gave them a taste of farm life, inspiring great love and affection. They had no children.
