Lemons, Manuel A., 89 of Powell went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 4, 2009. He was a member of City on a Hill Church and a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Lemons was preceded in death by mother, Susan Hughes; wife, Mildred (Lundy) Lemons; son, Arthur Lemons; and great grandson, Joziah Martin.

Survivors

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Pat and Roger Welch, Teresa and Benjie Cox; daughter-in-law, Shirley Lemons; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; as well as many special friends at Windwood Nursing Home.

Service

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Berry Funeral Home from 5:00-7:30pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 with Rev. Tony Colson and Rev. James Tucker officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
