Kentucky New Era obit posted 08 Dec 1965 reads as follows:
Mrs. Alonzo Bush, 81, Trigg County, died at 12:15pm yesterday at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Trigg County, whee she had been a patient 13 months.
Services will be at 10am tomorrow at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Arthur Upchurch. Burial will be in East End Cemetery.
Mrs. Bush, the former Mary Charlotte Givens, was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was born Aug. 17, 1884, the daughter of John L. and Leota Trigg Givens. Her husband died Sept. 16, 1964.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sam Adams, Evansville; nine sons, Cecil, Lexie, Horace, John, Robert, Kenneth, Carloss, Travis and Charles Bush. 20 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Petty, Harrisburg, Ill., and a half brother Birl Givens, Princeton.
Sons will serve as pallbearers.
