Anne P. Schwartz
Casper - Funeral Liturgy for Anne P. Schwartz, 68, will be celebrated Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by Msgr. James O'Neill at a time to be announced.
Vigil for the Deceased will be at 7 p.m Sunday at the Bustard Funeral Home.
mrs. Schwarts died Oct. 13, 1994, at the Wyoming Medical Center following a long illness. She was born June 30, 1926, at York, Neb., to John D. and Elsie (Callaghan) Phillips. She spent her early years in York where she attended grade school. She then moved to Lincoln, Neb., and graduated from high school there and then attended the University of Nebraska. She earned a B.S. degree in business administration from the university in 1947.
On Aug. 14, 1948, she married William T. Schwartz in Lincoln and they moved to Casper.
Mrs. Schwartz was active in many community organizations in Casper, serving as a pink lady at the Wyoming Medical Center, helping with Meals on Wheels, and working with the family YMCA.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and served in the Altar and Rosary Society. A graduate of The Famous Artist's Course, she enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid Cowboy fan.
In addition to her husband, survivors include four children, Mary A. Barnes of St. ouis, Mo., Susan L. Higgins of Waterville, Maine, Sally L. Belcher of Cheyenne and William P. Schwartz of Jackson.
Also surviving are her brother, Jack D. Phillips of Lincoln; a sister, Mary C. Abbenhaus of St. Louis, mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her brother, Robert J. Phillips of Fort Collins, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials either to St. Anthony's School or to the Blue Envelope Heart Fund would be appreciated.
Contributions may be left at the Bustard Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Bustard's funeral directors.
