Grace Thompson of Waco died Feb. 12 at the age of 87.
Funeral services were held Monday at Cole Funeral Home Chapel in McGregor with the Rev. Vernon Vaughan officiating. Interment was in Osage Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomspson was born Feb. 3, 1917, near Coryell City in Coryell County, the daughter of the late Gus and Flora (Allison) Merritt.
On Dec. 20, 1933, she married Otha C. Thompson in Coryell City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1991.
She lived in Coryell County, McLennan County and the Gulf Coast area until returning to Central Texas about 12 years ago.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; one daughter; one son; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lynch of Waco and Carolyn Bushong of Dardanelle, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jackie Bushong, Danny Carpenter, James Carpenter, David Lynch, Donnie Lynch, Benny Thompson, and Bill Thompson.
