Rex Howard Pitner, age 62, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014. He was a member of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church. Rex was an Army Vietnam Veteran. He was employed at Alcoa Aluminum for 40 years, he loved working on the farm with his horses, cattle, and tractors. He was loved by many friend and family.

Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Faye Moore Pitner, grandparents, Marsh and Ila Pitner, Luther and Martha Moore, great-niece, Tosha Nicole.

Brother: Dennis Pitner and girlfriend Betty Cusick
Sisters: Brenda Pitner, and Barbara Galyon
Niece: Tammy Floyd and husband Roger
Great-great niece: Sawyer Floyd
Nephews: Travis Pitner considered a son and wife Amber Pucket Pitner, Rusty Pitner, Rev. Bobby Ray Galyon and wife Sandra
Great nephews: Donovan Pitner considered grandson, Asher Galyon, Dustin Floyd and wife Katie, Thomas Floyd and wife Sondra Tyler Floyd and Wesley Floyd.

Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Bobby Ray Galyon, Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. Lon Shockley officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
