George Samson, a resident of Richland township, died at his home at midnight Tuesday following an illness of four years from an attack of tuberculosis. The deceased was born in Fayette County February 13, 1868 and his age was 56 years. He was united in marriage in Wabash county in 1906 to Miss Bertha Holcom, who with four children, survive. The children are John Sampson of Peru, Mrs. Cora Panse and Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Tampa Florida and Miss Ruth Sampson living at home. Three step children, Walter Sampson of Richland township, Joseph Samson of Peru and Mrs. Bessie Shaffer of Peru, also survive. The surviving brothers and sisters are Charles Sampson of Richland township, Mrs. Phoebe Clauve of Eric township, Mrs. Sarah Whitesel of Jefferson township and Mrs. Christina McCarlin of Wabash county.
The funeral services will be held from the Center Chapel in Richland township, Friday at 10:00 a.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Johnson and the interment will be in the cemetery at Paw Paw.
