Henry T. Biehl, 73, Bettendorf, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 1996, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, where he was a member.
Mr. Biehl was born Jan. 29, 1923, in Vliets, Kan. He married Mary Wells Dec. 22, 1946.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the submarine USS Crevalle. After graduating from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., he worked for Standard Oil Company and as a civilian employee of the Army. He retired from the command on Arsenal Island in 1984 and then worked at Hardees in Davenport. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, playing golf and trout fishing.
He belonged to the Iowa chapter and National Organization of submarine Veterans of World War II.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Molyneaux, Davenport; grandchildren, Jessica and Mark, both of Davenport; and a sister, Belva Hollingsworth, Seattle, Wash. An infant daughter, Janet Lee, is deceased.
