Marcia H. Seibert, 85, of Ellensburg, died Monday, September 16, 1991 at Gold Leaf Care Center. She was born June 17, 1906 in Seattle, one of five daughters of William and Helena (Couterre) Houlahan. She received her elementary education in Spokane Public Schools and moved with her family to Seattle where she graduated in 1924 from West Seattle High School.
She and Philip J. Seibert were married in Seattle on July 3, 1929. They moved to the Kittitas Valley in 1942, and purchased the old Lyons Ranch which they operated for five years before moving to Garfield County. They owned and operated a wheat ranch there until 1966 when they moved to Tucson, Arizona. They returned to the Kittitas Valley in 1976 and made their home on the West Side. Following the death of her husband in 1984, Mrs. Seibert moved into town. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and listening to classical music, which she also enjoyed sharing with friends. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.
Survivors include one sister, Ann (Wippel) Cox, and special friends, Frank and Kathy Pangrazi, all of Ellensburg She was preceded in death by three sisters, Adrienne of Seattle and Virginia and Marie Houlahan, both of Ellensburg.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Father John Heneghan will officiate and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
