Birth: 1618, England
Death: Aug. 16, 1683
New Haven
New Haven County
Connecticut, USA

~MY ANCESTOR~
Mary Nash came with her parents to America in about 1637 at about 19 years of age. She married ROGER ALLING in New Haven in about 1642/1643. He died in 1674 and she did not remarry. New Haven Records: March 10, 1646 "Sister Allen asigned to sit in the 5th seat the women's section in the crose seats at the end in the meeting house."

Mary's will was written July 17, 1682 in New Haven. Her three sons & two daughters, Samuel, John, James, Mary Moss & Sarah Peck were given items of furniture and various household goods. The four daughters (Sarah & Mary above), Elizabeth Alling & Susannah Alling were to equally divide her wearing apparel among them. The rest of her estate was to be equally divided among the children except for a double portion for the eldest son, Samuel, who was appointed sole executor.

She was the daughter of THOMAS NASH and MARGERY (BAKER) NASH.

The monument pictured at the right is located in the Grove Street Cemetery. Thomas & Margery Nash are not buried there.
