FREDERICK ASHWOOD
Frederick Ashwood, 80, of 213 12th Ave. N.W., died Wednesday in Colonel Belcher hospital. Mr. Ashwood was born in London, England, and came to Calgary in 1906 where he worked at the C.P.R. Ogden shops until retiring 15 years ago. In 1889 he joined the Royal Artillery and served in the South African war until 1901 and during the First Great War he served overseas with the 137th Battalion o the Canadian Army from 1916 until 1919. Surviving are his wife, Annie, one brother, Richard, in England.
