Sarah Catherine Adams, age 93 of New Castle, died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a homemaker, member of Finchville Baptist Church and daughter of the late Everett and Hallie Barbour Hale.

She is survived by one step-daughter, Sally White, Shelbyville; one half-brother, E.L. Bailey, Shelbyville; one sister, Viola Poe, New Castle; three half-sisters: Lois Parrot and Josephine Raymer, both of Eminence; Willie Mae Barbour, Bradenton, Florida; two step-granddaughters, one step-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Adams.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 30 at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Dr. Wayne Ward and Rev. Mike Duncan officiated. Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Finchville Baptist Church or Hospice of Louisville.
