Mrs. Lillian May Reed, 71, 520 North 2nd St., Centerville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1973, at 11:15 a.m. in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital.
She was born in Centerville June 4, 1902, the daughter of Clarence and Daisy Pullen Bandy. She was married to Harry Reed who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Jean Penniston, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Mrs. Annabelle Maufield, East Moline, Illinois and Harry Reed of Minneapolis, Minn. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her mother, Daisy Bandy, of Centerville. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Richards, Evanston, Ill., Miss Nadine Bandy of Los Angeles, Calif., and four brothers, Charles and John of Centerville, Max of East Moline, Ill., Clarence of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded by her father, three brothers and a sister. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. The family requests memorials to her church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. L. M. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
