Funeral services for Philip (Tilley) Holley, Jr. will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Leon Boggs. Interment will follow at Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly.
Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., today, March 9, at Rose-Neath.
Tilley was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Doyline and entered into rest March 7, 2010 in Minden.
He served his country for four years in the United States Navy and fought in the Pacific during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Fay Holley of Minden; sons, Jerry Philip Holley and wife Pamela Kimble Holley of Minden and Joe Burkett Holley and wife Erin Murphy Holley of Minden; sister, Ela Upshaw of Minden; brothers, Walter B. Holley of Heflin and Bobby Ray Holley and wife Rita of Dubberly; grandchildren, Eric Philip Holley, Kimberly Brook Holley, Adam Burkett Holley, and Hillary Jo Holley.
Pallbearers will be Adam Holley, Eric Holley, Harold Holley, Ken Holley, James "Bootsie" Holley and Jeff Reynolds.
Donations may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church, 301 Lakeshore Drive, Minden, La. 71055.
