Nina V. Colburn

Nina V. Colburn, daughter of William F. and Isabella J. Hamil Kepford, was born December 9, 1914 at Concordia, Kansas, and died November 18, 1998 at Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and nine days.

She received her education in the public schools.

She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid.

She was united in marriage to John Henry Colburn on May 8, 1933 at Mankato, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John two half brothers, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, William Colburn of Blue Rapids, Kansas, Merle Colburn of Belleville, Kansas, and Franklin Colburn of Kansas, Six daughters, Mabel Fike of Belleville, Kansas, Wanda Colburn of Superior, Nebraska, Donnia Miller of Downs, Kansas, Sally Campbell of Wichita, Kansas, Lucille Koelsch of Paola, Kansas, and Janet Bauman of Belton, Missouri, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Rosa Goos of Beaver, Iowa and Ruby Hendricks of North Platte, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m on Monday, November 23, 1998 at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kansas, with Rev. Robert Hovorka officiating. Interment was made in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.
