Alvina worked for many years as a housekeeper in the Menominee area. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling, and gardening. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Marinette, Wis.
On September 21, 1940, she married Robert Anderson in Grover, Wis. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2006.
Alvina is survived by one son, Jerry Anderson of Menominee, Mich;
two daughters: Judy Nyquist of St. Charles, Ill. and Pamela (Mark) Grosso of Geneva, Ill;
11 grandchildren: John (Becca) Grosso, Kelly (Joe) Sullivan, Eilene (Matt) Buege, Joy (K.C.) Wilbur, Tim Nyquist, Loren Nyquist, Jeff Anderson, Dan Anderson, Bill Anderson, Kevin Anderson and Kelly Anderson,
15 great-grandchildren;
one sister, Ella Marquardt;
two sisters-in-law: Ruby Anderson and Roselyn Colaric;
one daughter-in-law, Marlene Compney and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband Robert, Alvina was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Anderson; one brother and six sisters.
Family and Friends may come to the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, 3036 Carney Avenue, Marinette, Wis. on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Reverend Tim Hawthorne will be presiding.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Mich.
