Born to John Grebner and Louisa Schneider. Baptized at Lourdes parish in Nov 1894. He married Anna Fandel on 2 Oct 1917. Surviving children included: Wilbert (1919), Florentius (1921), Ernest, Virginia Grebner Sharick (1925), Georgiana Grebner Kiefner (1931), all of Metamora, Reinhardt (1922), Bernadine Grebner Kern and Gloria Grebner Crank, both of Washington, Lowell Grebner of Lowpoint (1923), Rudolph (1927), and Francis of Washburn. There was another son, Theo (1928). Also survived by siblings: Albert, Eddie, and John Grebner of Metamora, Emil Grebner of East Peoria, Laura Buchanan of Lowpoint, Hilda Plumb of Tampa FL,Frieda Fandel and Isabel Krumholz of Metamora, and Cecelia Opdyke of Peoria.
