Michael was the son of William Carver and Alice Murphy. He married Margaret Daugherty on September 18, 1887 at Boone, Iowa. They were the parents of 9 children: Leo, Will, Clement, Joseph, Barnard, Margaret, Susan, Molly, and Grace.



April 30, 1952 - Carroll Daily Times - Requiem mass was read by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. P.T. Lynch at funeral services at St. Joseph's church here yesterday morning for Mike Carver, 88, retired railway employee and longtime Carroll resident, who died at a Council Bluffs hospital Saturday afternoon.

Msgr. Lynch also conducted the committal rites in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: T.J. Kerwin, Tom J. Finegan, B.W. Fisk, Eugene Motter, Joe Jenson, and Lambert J. Thelen.

Attending the rites from out-of-town were: Mrs. Harry C. Foster, Holliday, Mo.: Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Drewer, Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Patrick F. Costin, Avoca; Barney F. Carver, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Schuelke and son; Dennis, Storm Lake; Marguerite and Billy Daugherty; Bellwood, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Daugherty, Rolfe; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Curry, Butterfield, Minn.; Robert P.
