Donald served as a Private First Class, 447th Anti-Aircraft Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Orleans County, Vermont prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on April 21, 1943 in Rutland, Vermont. He was noted as being employed as a Filling Station Attendant and also as Married.

Donald was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here in 1948.
