Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, May 26, 1941, page 2:
   William H. Mindrup, 10 Halleck Ave., superintendent of Richards' Brick Co. for many years, died suddenly at his home at 11 p.m., Sunday night as the result of a heart attack. He was 61 years, 10 months and nine days of age.
   Mr. Mindrup was born in Staunton on July 14, 1879, the son of the late Henry and Sophia Mindrup of Edwardsville. He attended the Presbyterian church here, having resided in this city since he was very young.
   Surviving are five children, Edward Mindrup, Mrs. E.E. Zimmerman, and James and Wesley Mindrup, all of Edwardsville, and Dr. Robert Mindrup of Jerseyville.  Six grandchildren and four brothers and sisters also survive. They are Fred Mindrup of St. Charles, Mo.; Louis A. Mindrup, of Dallas, Tex.; and Mrs. W.C. Blixen and C.F. Mindrup, both of Edwardsville.
   On Oct. 15, 1904, he was married to Mrs. Mindrup in St. Louis.  Mrs. Mindrup preceded him in death on May 23, 1926.
   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the First Presbyterian church. The body will be at the Marks-Weber Funeral Home until the time of the service.  Rev. Carl L. Attig will be in charge. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery.
