Ed passed away Friday, December 13, 2013.

Born March 18, 1912 in Tillamook, Oregon, he lived in Tigard since 1913. He graduated from Tigard High School in 1929 and Oregon Agricultural College (now OSU) in 1933. He married Lois Ann Thompson in 1947 and celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with her before she passed on in 1997. His careers included Oregon Army National Guard, printer, Justice of the Peace for Tigard and Sherwood, teacher of math at Whitford Middle School, charter boat owner and operator at Westport, Washington. In World War II he served in New Guinea and Australia as an Inspector General. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially salmon fishing.

Ed is survived by his brother Carl Finley of Tigard; sons Dave Finley of Gladstone, Larry Finley of Grande Ronde, and Lanny Finley of Aurora; daughter Jan McFadden of Tigard; granddaughters Lindsey Avenetti of Portland and Carlie Powers of Lake Oswego.

A memorial service will be held at Tigard United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
