Elsa Bridges, died 1951, both buried Ashcraft Cem., IN; Simeon Aaron died in infancy; Nellie born Nov. 16, 1880 Greene Co., IN.

A few years ago when very sick, her daughter told her, the doctors said her time here on earth was short, and asked her if all was well. She said: "As I look back over my past life there is just two things that I did that I didn't feel right about; one was to pick up some apples when passing through an orchard. I told the man when I saw him. The other was, to charge a neighbor 50 cents for a bunch of wool, although that was what it was selling at, I always thought it was too much."

She lived a pure clean life. We have often heard her say, "I am not ashamed to live or afraid to die." She was a kind and loving mother, and devoted much on her children. She often admonished them to be honest and upright in all things. Truly her children can raise up and call her blessed. As a neighbor there was none better; and not one was ever more ready to lend a helping hand; no night was too dark, no road too muddy; no day too cold, for her to go and administer to the sick. No one was turned away from her door when it was in her power to help.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Quince FERGUSON, of Kirby. She was laid tenderly to rest at Ashcraft Chapel, followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives.
