| Birth: | 1940 | | Death: | 1982 |  John and Julia Marks were Gypsies who came to Kansas City from Georgia. They were arrested for defrauding the public and each sentenced to fifty years in federal prison. John Marks got sick in prison and was released to die in the 1980's. Julia died in prison in 1995. This beautiful double bottom marble crypt was brought in from Spain at a cost of over fifty thousand dollars back in 1982. He was buried on the bottom and she is buried on top. Legend has it that when Julia died the family members threw in 30,000 dollars in cash, so they could live in the afterlife as they had lived in life. The items on top of the crypt were left by family member so they could enjoy their favorite soft drink and smoke there favorite cigarettes.
