Newspaper publisher. 1903 graduate of Hanover High School (Jackson County, Michigan), and 1909 graduate of Albion College. World War I veteran, U.S. Army officers training. Mr. Hudnutt served as business manager of the Albion Recorder newspaper from 1911 to 1919. Mr. Hudnutt moved to Ohio and became a half owner of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram newspaper in 1921, and full owner in 1927. He served as its publisher until his death. Mr. Hudnutt was the 1943 president of the Inland Press Association. He served as vice-president of the Albion College Alumni Association 1948-49. Mr. Hudnutt wrote the chapter entitled "Banks and Bankers of Albion" in the 1913 "History of Calhoun County" by Washington Gardner, pp. 441-447.
