Sarah Bark received her education at Lee Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, after which she took up the profession of teaching. In October 28, 1871, she was married to Albert M. Cilley, who passed away March 22, 1896. They came to O'Brien county in 1882 and to Peterson in 1890.
To this union were born eight children, Perle J. of Spencer, Nettie R. Maynard of Colon, SD, Nellie A. Benn of Gladrook,Iowa, Harry C. of Long Beach, CA, Lulu E. Kitelinger of Sioux City and Willie and Bessie who passed away in infancy, and eighteen grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Dora E. Leef Walthill, Neb., and one brother, Thorn B. Bark of Sutherland.
Funeral services wero held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. H.Vareham, at Peterson. Burial was made in the cemetery at Sutherland.
