Clarence Goode was born and raised in Carlisle Co, KY. He was a farmer around Heath, KY, but he later moved to McCracken Co, around Paducah, and worked of the Illinois Central Railroad.
He was married to Ethel Hamilton on Jul 15, 1928. They were married at the Second Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. They had four children.
Clarence died at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah on Jul 14, 1995. Funeral services were held at Rickman Road Baptist Church, and burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. He was a former member of Rickman Road Baptist Church, was an ordained Baptist minister for 40 years. He organized and was pastor of Victory Baptist Chruch and was pastor of Carrsville Baptist Chruch. He served as a nursing home chaplain at Life Care Center and Riverfront Terrrace nursing homes and was retired from IC Railroad. Surviving his death were: his wife, Ethel H. Goode; 2 sons, Dr. Dale Goode of Melborne, Fla., and David Goode of St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Doris Herrington of Paducah and Emma Dell Garnett of Arlinigton; one brother, Harold Goode of Woodgreen, Mich.; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Robert T. and Emma Katherine King Goode. Funeral services were arranged by Lindsey fneral Home.
