Mother: Margaret DENNISON (Margaret died in PGH after mention in son, Peter DENNISON's, Will of 1840).

Husband: Thomas QUINN (died by 1850 Census). It is not clear if Ann and Thomas married in Ireland or Pittsburgh, as no marriage record has yet been found.

One known child with husband, Thomas QUINN:
John L. QUINN (1834-1897)
The only child mentioned in Ann's Will is John QUINN, who was born on 28 Feb 1834 and Baptized on 08 Mar 1834 at St. Patrick Church in Pittsburgh.

Ann (DENNISON) QUINN owned property and had a Will in which she left everything to her son, John QUINN, two of her grandchildren by John, and her brother, James DENNISON. Ann signed her Will on 11 Nov 1869 and it was Probated on 19 Nov 1869. St. Mary Cemetery records show she was buried 16 Nov 1869; Age 60. Ann's death/burial seems to have been the precipitating event for the purchase of the QUINN/DENNISON Family plot at St. Mary Cemetery.

Ann was part of a larger family group that emigrated from Ireland over a period of approx. 20 years, beginning sometime in the late 1820s or early 1830s.

Along with mentioning his mother, Margaret, Peter DENNISON listed the following siblings in his 1840 Allegheny County Will:

1) Ann DENNISON* (abt. 1809, Ireland– 16 Nov 1869, PGH) (married Thomas QUINN, who was dec'd by 1850)
2) Edward DENNISON (abt. 1796, Ireland–1873, Cincinnati, Ohio) (married Maria NOLAN or NALAN)
3) James DENNISON (abt. 1794, Ireland–Feb 1874, PGH)
4) Peter DENNISON (abt. 1800, Ireland–1840, PGH) (No mention in 1840 Will of wife or children)
5) Thomas DENNISON* (abt. 1800, Ireland–by 1885, since his wife is widowed by time of 1885 Iowa State Census. Thomas is not mentioned in Ann's 1869 Will) (married Johanna Jemima HUGHES [may have been his 2nd marriage, as he was older], and both moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Iowa)

Two additional siblings have been discovered through Church records and DNA testing / matching. These sisters of Peter were most likely NOT listed by Peter in his Will, because they were probably married at the time he wrote it in 1840. Therefore, it would be assumed their husbands would care for them. The reason Ann (DENNISON) QUINN is the only sister mentioned in Peter's Will, is because she was likely widowed at that time (1840). We know Ann was widowed by 1850, when she is found on the 1850 US Federal Census living at Pittsburgh, PA, with her brother, James DENNISON.

Here are the other two sisters of Peter:

6) Bridget DENNISON* (married Laurence Lawler, who was prob dec'd by the time of her immigration in 1850)
7) Esther DENNISON* (married James J O'BRIEN)

* Sibling relationship confirmed by DNA
