The Hunnewell Graphic, Hunnewell, Missouri

A wedding of much surprise to most of our people took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Clarkson near North Rork, Sunday at 1:30 o'clock when their daughter Miss Ethel was united in marriage to Mr. Henry Stewart. The officiating minister being Rev. Killion, of Canton.
The wedding was a quiet affair, only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties being present.
Immediately after the ceremony the guests were invited to the dining room where a sumptuous dinner was served.
The bride is an estimable young lady with a charming manner and disposition that has made her many friends.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Stewart of near town and is an industrious and exemplary young man.
The Graphic extends hearty congratulations and best wishes.

Daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Crothers & Benjamin Franklin Clarkson, wife of Henry Stewart. Children: Clara Mae Stewart (Harold) Glenn, Carl Stewart, and Lola Stewart.
Siblings: John Arthur Clarkson, James Otis Clarkson, Marvin Clarkson, Charles E. Clarkson and Augustas Clarkson.
Mary Ethel was called by her middle name Ethel. My dad named me after her, so her name is still carried on today.
We always enjoyed her visits to our house; we loved her a lot. She is sadly missed.
