Aged Couble Pass Away
Mrs. Johnna Katherina Hinrichs
Mrs. Hinrichs was born May 13, 1841, at Stollham, Oldenburg, Germany. She was always surrounded with Christian training. She was married to Dietrich Williams Hinrichs in 1866.
In 1885 the family came to Texas, locating at Charlottenburg, where they continue to reside for 40 years. Mrs. Hinrichs was taken ill on Feb. 8, with pneumonia passing away Saturday afternoon Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the age of 83 years 11 months and one day. The funeral services were conducted from the family residence Monday afternoon Feb. 16 at 1:30. Services were conducted by Rev. J. C. A. Pfenninger of the United Martin Luther Church. The surviving children are; William Hinrichs of Gonzales, Mrs. H. J. Breitkreuts, August, Misses Wilhelmina and Sophia of Shiner. Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also surviving.
